Parkinson’s UK – Dance and movement

I was recently commissioned by the team at MaxMedia to capture a dance and movement class for Parkinsons UK. Held at UCLAN in Preston, the brief was to showcase dance and movement as one of the variety of ways people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions can get and stay active. I was creating images that highlight how physical activity can be a fun and social experience, as well as a way to manage symptoms and benefit physical and mental health.

Melanie, the instructor welcomed myself and Stacey (from Parkingson’s UK) with open arms to the session. Everyone was so friendly and amazing. Stacey joined in straight away, with me doing my best to perform some dance moves whilst at the same time unobtrusively documenting the session 😁. It was a real privilege to be a part of, and a joy to shoot.

“Adam, you were fantastic at getting really involved in the whole class (without inhibiting their impressive moves!)”
