MSV – Space Manchester Videography

On Monday I was asked by the team at MSV Housing to capture the opening of their new community initiatives in Moss Side. The newly developed site, (the former head office of MSV) has been empty for a while, and the 2.4 million transformation is a huge investment for the community.

The opening by MSV youth ambassador Kemoy Walker was emotional, taking to twitter after the event he said “being able to open the new Space at @MSVHousing newly refurbished building in Moss side, now called positive futures, Been so proud to be MSV’s youth champion for 13 years, seeing my name on the plaque today brought emotional moments”

The first floor of the now remodelled building provides 17 self-contained apartments for care leavers. The House Project will provide floating support. The scheme provides much needed, high quality and affordable homes for young people – their first forever home. This will help save money for the public purse, but most importantly will help the young people to have a solid foundation and a home which will help them flourish. The positive futures team on the ground floor will provide support for those using the service to help find employment, whilst the 1st floor is home to 17 apartments, for care leavers. Providing quality homes for young people in the area,

I was asked to photograph the opening of space Manchester by Kemoy, as well as photos / video footage of attendees, tours of the apartments, and everyone enjoying the complimentary Hip Hop Chip shop food (delicious!). You can see a short video clip of the event below.
